Alpha Bin Care shortlisted as finalist in CIWM Awards for Environmental Excellence 2010

Alpha Bin Care, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the CIWM Awards for Environmental Excellence 2010, in the category ‘Vehicle of the Year’.

This comes following the extremely successful RWM Exhibition in September, where we displayed our innovative cleaning vehicle at the main show entrance, allowing visitors to see how it can clean and sanitise wheeled containers, even if they are full.

The award recognises the innovative design of vehicles relating to waste management, and includes factors such as being fit for purpose, best health and safety practice, use of technology, production processes and sustainability of production materials.

Alpha Bin Care’s pioneering vehicle technology has been developed using years of experience. The vehicles have been developed from the chassis upwards to incorporate a complete onboard water recycling system. They have the capacity to accommodate the full range of comb lift bins used in the UK, from 120ltr upwards and four wheeled bins to 1290ltr as well as chambelin bins.

The key feature to the vehicles is that they allow wheeled containers to be cleaned both inside and out, whether empty or full, due to the incorporation of a holding bin. Each standard cleaning cycle takes less than two minutes and can be adjusted according to the condition of the bin, providing a flexible approach.

Lawrence Trish, Director said, “I am delighted that we are finalists in this prestigious industry award. Our vehicles are a new pioneering design introduced only this year, so it is very rewarding for them to be recognised so quickly”.
